High Dirt-Holding Capacity
Basket design provides 3:1 to 6:1 open area ratio, providing significantly higher dirt-holding capacity than Y-type strainers of equivalent size.
Removable Basket
Basket lifts out through the bolted cover without removing the strainer from the pipeline, enabling rapid cleaning and screen replacement.
Bolted Cover with Vent
Bolted cover with vent plug allows safe air release during pipeline start-up, preventing air locking and water hammer.
Perforated or Mesh Basket Options
Perforated SS316 sheet for coarse filtration; woven SS316 mesh for fine filtration. Baskets are interchangeable.
Differential Pressure Tap
Optional upstream and downstream pressure taps allow installation of differential pressure gauges to monitor basket clogging.
Magnetic Insert Option
Optional rare-earth magnetic rod captures ferrous particles, protecting downstream pumps, meters, and control valves.
