Application
Emergency shutdown (ESD) valve packages combine an isolation valve with a spring-return actuator, solenoid, and position feedback for safety loops. Packages are quoted against fail position, air supply, and any SIL or PST language already on the inquiry.
ESD packages are sized to the shutdown philosophy: valve Cv, actuator spring set, and solenoid voltage must match the control narrative. Partial-stroke test devices are included only when the RFQ lists PST.
