Notes

Weight position is factory-set for typical water service; reposition weight along lever holes to match actual pump stop characteristics.
Closing speed that is too slow causes backflow and pump reverse rotation; too fast causes water hammer and pipe stress.
Hinge pin bushings should be inspected annually and replaced when radial clearance exceeds 0.5 mm to prevent disc flutter.
For sea water or corrosive cooling water, specify CF8M (SS316) body and trim with cathodic protection or rubber lining.
Renewable seat ring requires isolation and depressurisation; use OEM seat ring torque specification to prevent distortion.
