Features & Benefits
Automatic Float Operation
SS316 hollow float rises with water level to close the valve, drops when air accumulates to open -- fully automatic with no external power, instruments, or control system required.
Air Release at High Points
Kinetic or small-orifice design continuously vents entrained air bubbles that accumulate at pipeline high points, preventing air locking and flow restriction.
Vacuum Protection
Large orifice compound air valve admits atmospheric air rapidly when pipeline pressure drops below atmospheric, preventing vacuum collapse, pipe implosion, and pump cavitation damage.
Anti-Slam Closure
Damped float mechanism and balanced orifice design prevent water hammer and slamming during rapid air discharge on pipeline filling.
Corrosion-Resistant Float
SS316 hollow float is non-porous, corrosion-resistant, and does not absorb water or lose buoyancy like plastic floats in hot water or chemical service.
In-Line Serviceable
Cover is bolted for easy removal -- float, seat, and seal can be replaced without removing the valve from the pipeline.
