Features & Benefits
Continuous Modulating Discharge
Free-float ball rises and falls with condensate level, providing continuous discharge proportional to the steam load -- no intermittent cycling, no steam loss at light loads, and no water hammer from slug discharge.
No Steam Loss at Light Loads
At low condensate loads, the float partially opens the valve just enough to pass condensate without live steam loss -- unlike thermodynamic traps that discharge in cycles with steam loss.
High Back Pressure Tolerance
Operates efficiently with back pressure up to 90% of inlet pressure, making it ideal for condensate recovery systems and elevated return headers.
Automatic Air Venting
Built-in thermostatic air vent automatically releases air and non-condensable gases during start-up, preventing air binding and ensuring rapid steam reach to the heat exchanger.
In-Line Repairable
Float, valve, seat, and air vent can all be replaced by removing the bolted cover without removing the trap from the pipeline.
Wide Capacity Range
Available from small 1/2 inch traps for tracing lines up to 4 inch high-capacity traps for process heaters and reboilers, all with the same reliable free-float principle.
