Key Specifications
Product Overview
SUPREME VALVES High Pressure Gate Valves are rugged, heavy-duty isolation valves designed for reliable on-off service in demanding high-pressure applications. These valves feature a flexible wedge gate design that ensures bubble-tight sealing and compensates for thermal expansion variations in the system.
Designed per API 602 compact design and ASME B16.34 standards, these gate valves are ideal for oil and gas wellhead installations, chemical injection systems, high-pressure water systems, steam service, and hydraulic power units. The bolted bonnet construction ensures leak-free service under extreme pressure conditions.
Available with screwed (NPT/BSPT), socket weld, and butt weld ends to suit various installation requirements. Optional graphite packing available for high-temperature service up to +400°C.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the advantage of a flexible wedge gate design?
A: A flexible wedge gate is a two-piece gate design that can adjust slightly to compensate for thermal expansion, pipe misalignment, or system vibration. This ensures reliable seating even when the valve is subjected to varying temperature conditions or mechanical stress. It provides better sealing performance in demanding applications compared to rigid wedge designs.
Q: When should I use graphite packing instead of PTFE?
A: PTFE packing is suitable for service temperatures from -20°C to +232°C and provides excellent chemical resistance for most process media. Graphite packing should be used for temperatures exceeding 232°C, particularly in steam service, high-temperature oil systems, or applications where temperatures can reach up to 400°C. Graphite also performs better in cyclic temperature conditions.
Q: What maintenance is required for high pressure gate valves?
A: Gate valves require periodic inspection of the stem packing for leakage. If leakage occurs, the gland follower can be tightened. For severe service or high cycle applications, the packing can be replaced. The gate and seat faces should be inspected periodically for damage or wear. In critical service applications, annual inspection is recommended to ensure reliable operation.
