Features & Benefits
Self-Contained Direct Acting
Spring-loaded diaphragm or piston responds directly to downstream pressure -- no external power, instrument air, control system, or pilot valve required. Simple, reliable, and fail-safe.
Constant Downstream Pressure
Spring force balances downstream pressure across the diaphragm or piston, maintaining approximately constant outlet pressure (+/- 5% to +/- 10%) regardless of upstream pressure variations and flow changes.
Fast Response
Direct-acting mechanism responds within milliseconds to flow transients, preventing pressure spikes and protecting downstream equipment from overpressure events.
Factory-Set and Sealed
Each valve is individually set to the purchaser's exact downstream pressure requirement and mechanically sealed at the factory, preventing unauthorised field adjustment.
Diaphragm or Piston Options
Flexible EPDM/NBR diaphragm for water and low-pressure steam; SS316 piston with balanced design for high-pressure steam and large sizes where diaphragm area would be impractical.
Compact and Lightweight
Direct-acting design eliminates pilot tubing, external control lines, and large actuator enclosures -- significantly more compact and lighter than pilot-operated regulators of equivalent capacity.
