Features & Benefits
Low Pressure Drop
Tilting disc design opens at very low cracking pressure (0.02--0.05 bar) and presents minimal obstruction to flow when fully open -- pressure drop is 30--50% lower than equivalent swing check valve of the same size.
Rapid Non-Slam Closure
Lightweight disc with optimised hinge geometry closes rapidly on flow reversal, preventing the water hammer and pipeline vibration common in slow-closing swing check valves.
Horizontal or Vertical Installation
Tilting disc check valves can be installed in both horizontal and vertical pipelines (with correct hinge/shaft orientation), providing greater installation flexibility than swing check valves that require horizontal installation.
Compact Wafer Design
Short face-to-face wafer pattern minimises weight and space, reducing pipe support requirements and installation cost compared to flanged swing or piston check valves.
Spring-Assisted Closure Option
Optional SS316 spring provides positive disc return to seat on flow reversal and enables installation in vertical downward flow orientation where gravity alone is insufficient.
Stellite Seat Overlay
Stellite 6 hard-facing on seat ring resists erosion from high-velocity flow impingement during closure and opening, extending seat life in severe service.
