Frequently Asked Questions

What temperature can Inconel valves withstand?
Inconel 625 valves can operate continuously at temperatures up to 980°C (1800°F) while maintaining structural integrity. Inconel 718 retains high yield strength up to 700°C (1290°F), making it ideal for high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) applications.
Is Inconel 625 suitable for sour gas service?
Yes. Inconel 625 is listed in NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for sour service applications. It resists sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and is widely used in subsea wellhead valves and HPHT completions.
What is the difference between Inconel 625 and Inconel 718?
Inconel 625 is a solid-solution strengthened alloy valued for corrosion resistance and weldability. Inconel 718 is precipitation-hardened (with niobium) giving much higher strength (~1240 MPa UTS) but lower maximum service temperature. Choose 625 for corrosion, 718 for strength.
Do you supply Inconel valves for subsea applications?
Yes. We manufacture Inconel 625 and 718 valves per API 6A and API 17D for subsea trees, manifolds, and jumper connections. Available with CRA overlay/cladding, NACE compliance, and full traceability documentation.
