Mining Valve Product Range

Knife Gate Valves

Unidirectional and bi-directional knife gate valves for high-solids slurry, pulp, and tailings. Replaceable EPDM/NBR sleeves. Handwheel, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuated. Sizes 2" to 36".

Rubber-Lined Butterfly Valves

Full rubber-lined butterfly valves for abrasive slurry, tailings, and process water. Natural rubber, neoprene, and polyurethane lining options. High Cv for minimal pressure drop.

Pinch Valves

Full-bore pinch valves for abrasive and corrosive slurry service. No internal obstructions — the rubber sleeve is the only wetted part. Air-operated for remote control. Sizes 1" to 16".

Diaphragm Valves

Weir-type and straight-through diaphragm valves for corrosive leaching solutions and slurries. Rubber-lined body with PTFE or EPDM diaphragm. For acid, alkali, and abrasive media.

Slurry Check Valves

Rubber flapper check valves and tilting disc check valves designed for slurry service. Prevents backflow in pump discharge lines. Replaceable rubber-lined internals for extended service life.

Slurry Gate Valves

Heavy-duty slurry gate valves with renewable seats and hard-faced gates. For ore slurry, mill discharge, and cyclone feed applications. Handwheel or hydraulic actuated.

Mining Applications by Process Stage

Crushing & Grinding

Knife gate valves for mill discharge, rubber-lined butterfly for process water, pinch valves for cyclone feed/underflow.

Flotation & Separation

Butterfly valves for cell feed, diaphragm valves for reagent dosing, knife gates for concentrate/tailing distribution.

Leaching & SX/EW

Diaphragm valves and lined butterfly valves for acid leach solutions. Alloy 20 and Hastelloy valves for electrowinning circuits.

Tailings & Water Management

Large-diameter rubber-lined butterfly valves for tailings pipelines, knife gates for thickener underflow, check valves for pump protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of valve is best for slurry service in mining?
The best valve for slurry depends on the application: (1) Knife gate valves — best for on/off isolation of high-solids slurry (up to 80% solids), commonly used in thickener underflow and mill discharge. (2) Rubber-lined butterfly valves — best for large-diameter slurry pipelines where moderate solids and low pressure drop are needed. (3) Pinch valves — best for highly abrasive slurry in smaller sizes (up to 16") where full bore and no internal obstructions are critical. (4) Diaphragm valves — best for corrosive-abrasive media like acid leach solutions.
How do you handle abrasion in mining valves?
We use multiple strategies to combat abrasion in mining valves: (1) Rubber lining (natural rubber, neoprene, polyurethane) for body protection, (2) Replaceable rubber sleeves in knife gate and pinch valves for easy maintenance, (3) Hardfacing (Stellite, tungsten carbide overlay) on metal-seated gate valves, (4) Ni-Hard or high-chrome iron castings for severe erosion zones, and (5) Ceramic-lined trim for extreme abrasion in fine particle slurries. The choice depends on particle size, solids concentration, and media chemistry.
What is the typical valve maintenance interval in mining?
Valve maintenance intervals in mining vary significantly by application: knife gate valves in tailings service typically need sleeve replacement every 6-12 months; rubber-lined butterfly valves in process water may last 2-5 years; pinch valve sleeves in abrasive cyclone underflow may need replacement every 3-6 months. We design our mining valves with easy-access, field-replaceable wear parts to minimize downtime. Proper valve sizing to avoid excessive velocity (< 3 m/s for slurry) significantly extends service life.
Do you export mining valves to Africa?
Yes. We actively export mining valves to major mining regions in Africa including South Africa (platinum, gold, coal), Ghana and Tanzania (gold), Zambia and DRC (copper belt), and North Africa (phosphate). We ship FOB Mundra Port or CIF to destination ports. For large mining projects, we support EPC contractor procurement with full documentation including MTRs, test certificates, and GA drawings.
