Actuated Diaphragm Valve

Pneumatic or electric actuated for automated process control. Quick open/close action. Fail-safe spring-return options.

1/2" to 12"

PTFE/PFA Lined Diaphragm

Fully lined wetted parts for aggressive acids (HCl, H2SO4, HF). Body protected from corrosion by fluoropolymer liner.

1/2" to 10"

Rubber Lined (Mining/Slurry)

Natural rubber, EPDM, or Butyl rubber lining for abrasion resistance. Handles mining slurry, cement, and mineral processing streams.

Industry Applications

Chemical Processing

Corrosive acids, alkalis, and solvents. PTFE/PFA lined diaphragm valves provide zero-leakage containment of aggressive media.

Pharmaceutical & Biotech

Zero dead-leg designs for GMP compliance. SS316L body with EPDM/PTFE diaphragm. CIP/SIP-capable for sterile processes.

Water & Wastewater

Chlorination, dosing, and treatment systems. Rubber-lined bodies resist chemical attack while handling gritty water.

Mining & Mineral Processing

Straight-through type for slurry, tailings, and mineral-laden streams. Rubber lining provides exceptional abrasion resistance.

Food & Beverage

Sanitary diaphragm valves with Tri-Clamp ends for dairy, brewing, and food processing. FDA-compliant materials.

Desalination

Brine, chemical dosing, and RO membrane systems. PTFE-lined diaphragm valves for concentrated brine and anti-scalant dosing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a weir type and straight-through diaphragm valve?
A weir type diaphragm valve has a raised body contour (weir) that the diaphragm compresses against to create a seal. It provides excellent throttling and minimal dead volume but is not suitable for heavy slurries. A straight-through diaphragm valve has a full-bore flow path with no obstruction, making it ideal for slurry, viscous, and solid-laden media in mining and wastewater applications.
How long does a diaphragm last before replacement?
Diaphragm service life depends on media aggressiveness, temperature, pressure, and cycle frequency. In typical water/chemical service at ambient temperature, EPDM and PTFE diaphragms last 1-3 years or approximately 100,000 to 500,000 cycles. We supply replacement diaphragm kits for all sizes to minimize downtime.
Can diaphragm valves handle abrasive slurry?
Yes. Straight-through diaphragm valves with rubber-lined bodies are specifically designed for abrasive slurry in mining, mineral processing, and cement applications. The rubber lining absorbs abrasion, and the full-bore design prevents clogging. Natural rubber and Butyl rubber linings offer the best abrasion resistance.
Are diaphragm valves suitable for steam service?
Standard diaphragm valves are limited to approximately 150°C-180°C depending on the diaphragm material. For steam service above 150°C, globe valves or gate valves are recommended. EPDM diaphragms are rated to about 150°C, while PTFE-faced diaphragms can handle up to 180°C in intermittent service.
Do you export diaphragm valves to Saudi Arabia?
Yes. We regularly export diaphragm valves to Saudi Arabia for desalination plants (SWCC, ACWA Power projects), chemical processing (SABIC affiliates), and water treatment facilities. All exports include SABER certification, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, and full test documentation.
