10. General Notes

  1. Dual plate design features spring-assisted plates that close prior to flow reversal, eliminating water hammer slamming.
  2. Nozzle check (axial flow) valves have exceptionally low stroke travel and spring response, perfect for fast-pumping manifolds.
  3. Swing check valves must be installed horizontally (or vertically with upward flow only) for proper gravity closure.
  4. Optional external dashpots/counterweights are available for swing check valves to control closing speed and surge.
