Cryogenic globe valves with extended bonnet for liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, and other cryogenic fluid service. Extended neck positions the packing gland above the frost line, preventing ice formation and seal failure. Austenitic SS316L (CF3M) body, disc, seat, and stem retain full ductility at -196 deg C. Cryogenic PTFE/RPTFE/UHMWPE V-ring packing retains sealing flexibility at cryogenic temperatures. Fire-safe graphite backup packing. Extended stem handwheel with cryogenic glove or gear operator. BS 6364 / API 598 / ASME B16.34 / API 600 compliant.
Technical Specifications

Materials of Construction
| Component | Material |
| Stainless Steel 316L | ASTM A351 CF3M (SS316L) body, disc, seat, and stem -- low carbon prevents carbide precipitation during welding; austenitic structure retains ductility and toughness at cryogenic temperatures |
| Stainless Steel 316 | ASTM A351 CF8M (SS316) body on request for non-welded, non-sanitary applications |
| Seat Overlay | Stellite 6 on SS316L seat for erosion and galling resistance at high-velocity cryogenic fluid discharge |
| Packing | Cryogenic PTFE, RPTFE, or UHMWPE V-ring set (tested for flexibility at -196 deg C); graphite braided fire-safe backup |
Testing & Inspection
| Test | Requirement |
| Testing | Hydrostatic shell test 1.5 x WP per API 598 / EN 12266-1; Seat leakage test per API 598 / EN 12266-1; Functional test -- full stroke, torque; Material certificates per EN 10204 3.1 |
| Certification | ISO 9001:2015 QMS, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, hydrostatic and seat test reports |
Applicable Standards
| Standard | Description |
| Design Standard | BS 6364 Cryogenic Valves, API 598, ASME B16.34, API 600 / API 602 |
Notes
- Minimum design temperature and fluid type (LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen) must be specified by the purchaser for correct bonnet extension length calculation.
- For liquid oxygen service, all components must be degreased and cleaned per ASTM G93 Level 300; PTFE packing is required (no oil-based lubricants).
- For liquid hydrogen service (below -253 deg C), material upgrade to aluminium or SS316L with special cryogenic packing is required.
- Valve must be installed with bonnet vertical (stem upward) and body fully insulated to ensure proper frost-line positioning and thermal protection.
- All valves are manufactured by Supreme Valves India as per our standard specifications.
