Flush bottom (tank bottom outlet / drain) valves for reactors, vessels, and tanks in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and biotech applications. Seat is machined flush with the tank interior floor, eliminating dead volume and ensuring complete drainage -- no product accumulation, no batch cross-contamination, no manual scraping required. SS316L body with mirror-finish electropolished surface (Ra <= 0.4 or 0.25 microns). Tri-clamp, flanged, or butt weld tank connection. Pneumatic or manual operation. CIP/SIP compatible. ASME BPE / 3-A Sanitary / ASME B16.34 compliant.
Technical Specifications

| Outlet Connection | Flanged RF per EN 1092-1 / ASME B16.5, Tri-clamp (sanitary), Threaded NPT / BSP, Butt weld |
| Body Material | ASTM A351 CF3M (SS316L) -- low carbon for weldability and corrosion resistance / ASTM A351 CF8M (SS316) on request |
| Disc / Plug Material | SS316L with Stellite 6 or chrome plating on seating surface / SS316L hardened tip |
| Seat Material | SS316L integral seat flush with tank floor -- mirror finish Ra <= 0.8 microns (standard) / Ra <= 0.4 microns (electropolished, on request) |
| Packing / Seal Material | PTFE V-ring (FDA-approved, -50 to +200 deg C) / EPDM (FDA-approved, -20 to +120 deg C) / Graphite braided (high temp +540 deg C, non-sanitary) |

Materials of Construction
| Component | Material |
| Stainless Steel 316L | ASTM A351 CF3M (SS316L) body, disc, and seat -- low carbon content prevents carbide precipitation during welding, maintaining corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical and CIP environments |
| Stainless Steel 316 | ASTM A351 CF8M (SS316) body on request for non-welded, non-sanitary applications |
| Seat Overlay | Stellite 6 on SS316L seating surface for erosion and wear resistance in high-velocity discharge |
| Elastomer Seals | FDA-approved EPDM, PTFE, or silicone seals per 21 CFR 177.2600 for sanitary applications |
Testing & Inspection
| Test | Requirement |
| Testing | Hydrostatic shell test 1.5 x WP per API 598 / EN 12266-1; Seat leakage test per API 598 / EN 12266-1; Functional test -- full stroke, torque; Material certificates per EN 10204 3.1 |
| Certification | ISO 9001:2015 QMS, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, hydrostatic and seat test reports |
Applicable Standards
| Standard | Description |
| Design Standard | ASME BPE (reference), 3-A Sanitary Standards (3-A SSI, on request), manufacturer's standard, ASME B16.34 |
Notes
- Tank connection size/rating, outlet connection size/rating, and operating pressure/temperature must be specified by the purchaser for correct body and seat design.
- For aseptic / sterile applications (USP Class VI, EHEDG Class I), electropolished surface finish Ra <= 0.4 microns with full material traceability and certificates is required.
- For high-viscosity products (> 10,000 cP), specify low-torque actuator or gear operator to overcome product adhesion on the flush seat during opening.
- For abrasive slurry discharge (e.g., catalyst suspension), Stellite 6 seat overlay and hardened SS316L disc are strongly recommended.
- All valves are manufactured by Supreme Valves India as per our standard specifications.
