Product Overview

Supreme Valves India manufactures high pressure globe valves designed for demanding industrial applications. These forged steel valves are engineered to handle pressures up to 10000 PSI (690 bar) while maintaining reliable, bubble-tight sealing in continuous service.

Available in Y-pattern (angled) and Z-pattern (straight-through) configurations, these valves are designed per API 602 (compact steel valves), BS 1873 (steel globe valves), and ASME B16.34 (pressure-temperature ratings). The Y-pattern design provides a smoother flow path with minimal pressure drop, while the Z-pattern offers direct flow for applications requiring minimal resistance.

The guided, non-rising stem design ensures precise disc movement for accurate throttling control. Stellite-surfaced seats and disc provide exceptional wear resistance and bubble-tight sealing (Class IV/V per API 598). PTFE or graphite packing options enable service temperatures from -20C to +400C.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a high pressure globe valve?

A high pressure globe valve is a heavy-duty stop valve designed for applications requiring pressures up to 10000 PSI (690 bar). It features a spherical or cylindrical disc that moves perpendicularly to the seat for precise throttling and bubble-tight sealing. Available in Y-pattern (flow direction change) or Z-pattern (direct flow) configurations per API 602 and BS 1873 standards.

What pressure ratings are available?

Standard ratings include 10000 PSI (690 bar) at ambient temperature. The actual working pressure at elevated temperatures is determined by ASME B16.34 pressure-temperature ratings based on body material. Contact us for specific pressure-temperature charts.

What end connections are available?

Available with screwed ends (NPT or BSPT threads), socket weld ends, and butt weld ends. All connections comply with ASME B16.34 dimensional standards. Selection depends on pressure requirements, installation method, and code compliance.

What materials are used?

Body and bonnet: SS316/A182 F316, SS304, SS316L, WCB (ASTM A216), WC6 (ASTM A217). Stem: SS316 hardfaced. Disc: SS316 with Stellite seat. Seat: Integral stellited seats. Packing: PTFE (standard to 232C) or graphite (high temp to 400C). Bolts: B7M/2HM.

What temperature ranges are supported?

With PTFE packing: -20C to +232C. With graphite packing: -20C to +400C. Body material selection must also consider temperature limits per ASME B16.34 for the specific pressure rating.
