Notes
- Kinetic air valve must be installed at pipeline high points, pump station discharge headers, and at regular intervals (every 500 m to 1 km).
- Large orifice sizing must be verified against pipeline filling rate; undersizing causes air pocket compression and water hammer.
- For sewage force mains, specify SS316 float and anti-clogging screens on both orifices to prevent solids fouling.
- Anti-slam performance depends on float damping and orifice profile; do not modify float weight or orifice geometry in field.
- In freezing climates, install in insulated pit with drain or specify thermostatically controlled heater to prevent ice blockage.
