Supreme Valves supplies sanitary-grade valves for pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) plants. Our hygienic valves use AISI 316L (1.4404) stainless steel with internal surface finishes to Ra ≤ 0.5 µm (electropolished on request), crevice-free wetted paths, and self-draining geometry that satisfy ASME BPE, cGMP, and FDA-grade material requirements for Water-for-Injection (WFI), purified water, clean steam, and product-contact service.

What material is best for pharmaceutical valves?
AISI 316L (1.4404) stainless steel is the standard for product-contact pharmaceutical valves due to its low carbon content, corrosion resistance to WFI and clean steam, and weldability. Wetted surfaces are polished to Ra ≤ 0.5 µm (electropolished where specified) and elastomers are USP Class VI / FDA-compliant.
Are your pharmaceutical valves ASME BPE compliant?
Yes. Our hygienic diaphragm, butterfly, and ball valves are built to ASME BPE dimensional and surface-finish standards with crevice-free, self-draining wetted paths suitable for CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Steam-in-Place).
Can these valves handle CIP/SIP cycles?
Yes. The valves are designed for repeated Clean-in-Place and Steam-in-Place cycles with temperature-rated elastomers (silicone/EPDM/PTFE) and fully drainable geometry that prevents product hold-up and bio-burden.
