Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose a Normally Open solenoid valve?
Choose NO when you need flow during power failures or when the default state should be open. Common applications include venting, draining, cooling circuits, and safety discharge lines where blocking flow on power loss could be dangerous.
Can I convert an NC valve to NO?
PCN Series NC and NO valves have different internal spring and diaphragm arrangements. They are not field-convertible. Specify NO at the time of order for correct construction.
What is the minimum operating pressure for pilot operated valves?
Pilot operated diaphragm valves require a minimum differential pressure of approximately 0.3 bar to operate reliably. Below this, a direct-acting valve should be used.
