What is the difference between NPT and BSPT threads?

NPT (National Pipe Thread) is the US standard with a 60-degree thread angle and flattened peaks/valleys. BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread) also has a 55-degree angle but uses rounded peaks/valleys. NPT and BSPT are NOT interchangeable and will leak if mated. Always match thread types when ordering fittings.

What pressure ratings are available for threaded fittings?

Threaded fittings are available in Class 3000#, 6000#, and 9000# per ASME B16.11. The 3000# rating is for standard duty, 6000# for high pressure, and 9000# for ultra-high pressure applications up to 10000 PSI depending on size and temperature.

What materials are available for threaded fittings?
