Titanium Grade 2 (UNS R50400, commercially pure) and Grade 5 (UNS R56400, Ti-6Al-4V alloy) valves for seawater, chlorine, hypochlorite, and oxidising acid service. Exceptional corrosion resistance -- immune to seawater pitting, crevice corrosion, and galvanic coupling; immune to wet chlorine and sodium hyplorite attack. Superior strength-to-weight ratio (Grade 5 is 40% lighter than equivalent steel valve). Gate, globe, ball, and check valve types. ASTM B381 Gr. F2 / F5 body, disc, ball, seat, and stem. API 600 / API 608 / ASME B16.34 / NACE MR0175 compliant.

Materials of Construction
| Component | Material |
| Titanium Grade 2 | ASTM B381 Gr. F2 (UNS R50400) -- commercially pure titanium, excellent corrosion resistance, moderate strength, formable, weldable with inert gas shielding |
| Titanium Grade 5 | ASTM B381 Gr. F5 (UNS R56400) -- Ti-6Al-4V alpha-beta alloy, high strength (comparable to many steels), higher temperature capability, used where strength-to-weight is critical |
| Gasket Options | PTFE/RPTFE (standard, chemical resistant), Graphite/SS316 spiral wound (high temperature > 200 deg C, on request) |
| Coatings | Electroless nickel plating (ENP) or chrome plating on seating surfaces for wear resistance in high-cycle or abrasive service |
Testing & Inspection
| Test | Requirement |
| Testing | Hydrostatic shell test 1.5 x WP per API 598 / EN 12266-1; Seat leakage test per API 598 / EN 12266-1; Functional test -- full stroke, torque; Material certificates per EN 10204 3.1 |
| Certification | ISO 9001:2015 QMS, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, hydrostatic and seat test reports |
Applicable Standards
| Standard | Description |

Notes
- Titanium grade (Grade 2 or Grade 5), valve type (gate/globe/ball/check), and service fluid must be specified by the purchaser.
- For welded titanium valves, specify inert gas (argon) shielding requirements and welder qualification per ASME Section IX.
- For flange connections to dissimilar metals (e.g., titanium valve between carbon steel flanges), specify insulating gasket kit (dielectric gasket + insulating sleeves and washers) to prevent galvanic corrosion of the carbon steel flange.
- For abrasive service (seawater with sand, catalyst slurry), ENP or chrome-plated seating surfaces are recommended to prevent galling and extend seat life.
- For high-temperature service (> 315 deg C), Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is required; Grade 2 is not suitable above 315 deg C.
- All valves are manufactured by Supreme Valves India as per our standard specifications.
