Self-Acting & Pilot-Operated Steam & Water Precise Regulation Gulf Export

Product Range

Direct-Acting PRV

Spring-loaded self-acting design. Simple, reliable, and cost-effective for small flows and moderate accuracy requirements. No external power required.

1/2" to 3"

Pilot-Operated PRV

Two-stage design for large flows and tight pressure control. Pilot valve senses downstream pressure and adjusts main valve. Droop < 3%.

1" to 12"

Steam PRV

Specifically designed for saturated and superheated steam service. Stainless steel trim, PTFE packing, and balanced plug design to handle flash steam.

1/2" to 8"

Water PRV

For building services, fire protection, and industrial water supply. Bronze or cast iron body. Adjustable set-point with tamper-proof locking.

1/2" to 6"

Air & Gas PRV

Compressed air, nitrogen, oxygen, and natural gas pressure reduction. Brass or SS316 body for clean gas service.

1/4" to 4"

High-Pressure PRV

For inlet pressures up to 400 bar. Forged steel body, stellite trim. Used in hydraulic power units and high-pressure gas systems.

1/4" to 2"

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a pressure reducing valve and a pressure relief valve?
A pressure reducing valve (PRV) is a normally-open control device that maintains a constant downstream pressure by throttling flow from a higher upstream pressure. A pressure relief valve (PSV/PRV) is a normally-closed safety device that opens to vent excess pressure and protect equipment from overpressure. They serve opposite functions: PRVs control pressure during normal operation, while PSVs provide emergency protection.
How do I size a pressure reducing valve?
PRV sizing requires: (1) upstream inlet pressure, (2) required downstream pressure, (3) maximum and minimum flow rates, (4) fluid type (steam, water, gas) and conditions, and (5) pipe size. The valve must be sized for the maximum flow condition while maintaining stable regulation at minimum flow. Oversizing causes hunting and instability; undersizing causes excessive pressure drop.
Why does my steam PRV "hunt" or oscillate?
Hunting (cyclic opening/closing) in steam PRVs is typically caused by oversizing, insufficient load (valve operating near shutoff), inadequate sensing line length, or a defective pilot diaphragm. Solutions include: installing a smaller PRV sized for actual load, adding a downstream volume tank, ensuring the sensing line is at least 10 pipe diameters downstream, and verifying pilot valve operation.
Do you supply PRVs for Saudi Arabia desalination plants?
Yes. We supply pressure reducing valves to desalination and water treatment facilities across Saudi Arabia, including SWCC and ACWA Power projects. Our PRVs for desalination include SS316 body/trim for seawater and brine service, complete with SABER certification and EN 10204 3.1 material documentation.
What is droop in a pressure reducing valve?
Droop is the decrease in downstream (outlet) pressure as flow increases from zero to maximum. It is expressed as a percentage of the set pressure. A direct-acting PRV typically has 5-10% droop, while a pilot-operated PRV achieves less than 3% droop. For applications requiring very tight pressure control (e.g., boiler feed systems), pilot-operated designs are essential.
