What is the maximum pressure rating of the PBN Series?
The PBN Series is rated up to 200 bar (2900 PSI) depending on port size. The 1/4" and 3/8" sizes achieve the full 200 bar rating, while 1/2" and above are typically rated to 150-180 bar. Custom high-pressure versions can be engineered for specific project requirements.
Are these suitable for hydraulic oil?
Yes, the PBN Series with NBR seals is suitable for mineral hydraulic oils. For synthetic hydraulic fluids, water-glycol, or phosphate ester, consult our team for seal material compatibility.
Can they handle water hammer?
The piston construction and robust body are designed to withstand normal water hammer. For severe water hammer conditions, we recommend installing a surge suppressor upstream and selecting the slow-close option if available.
What coil power is required for 200 bar operation?
High-pressure operation requires high-force coils. Standard coil power is 18-25W for the PBN Series. Low-power coils are not recommended for pressures above 100 bar.
