Product Overview

The Supreme Valves 2-way Motorized PIBC (Pressure Independent Control) valve combines precise flow control with automatic flow limitation in a single package. The PIBC design ensures consistent room temperatures regardless of pressure fluctuations in the HVAC system, eliminating the need for system balancing and preventing occupant complaints about hot or cold spots.

The modulating electric actuator accepts standard 0-10V or 4-20mA control signals from Building Management Systems (BMS), making it compatible with all major building automation platforms used in Indian commercial buildings. The screwed BSP connection allows easy installation in pipe sizes from 1/2 inch to 2 inch.

Ideal for chilled water circuits, fan coil units (FCU), air handling units (AHU), and VAV terminal units in commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, and office complexes across India and the Middle East.

Applications

How PIBC Valves Work

1

Control Signal

BMS sends 0-10V modulating signal to actuator based on room temperature sensor.

2

Flow Measurement

Integrated flow controller measures actual flow and compares to setpoint.

3

Automatic Adjustment

Valve automatically adjusts to maintain constant flow regardless of system pressure changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PIBC valve and how does it work?

PIBC stands for Pressure Independent Control valve. It combines a control valve with an automatic flow limiting device that maintains constant differential pressure across the valve, ensuring the valve's position directly corresponds to the required flow rate regardless of pressure variations. This eliminates hunting and improves comfort in HVAC systems.

What is the difference between modulating and on/off control?

On/off valves have only fully open and fully closed positions. Modulating valves can position themselves anywhere between 0% and 100% open based on an analog signal (0-10V or 4-20mA). Modulating control enables precise flow adjustment for temperature control, resulting in better comfort and energy efficiency.

What control signal do motorized valves use?

Standard control signals are 0-10V DC (most common in Europe and Asia) and 4-20mA (preferred for longer cable runs). The actuator receives the control signal from a thermostat or BMS controller and positions the valve accordingly. For Indian building automation projects, 0-10V is most commonly specified.

Can the motorized actuator be replaced or serviced?

Yes, actuators are typically interchangeable with standard mounting interfaces. This modular design simplifies maintenance and allows actuator upgrades without removing the valve body from the pipeline.

Export to India & Middle East

Supreme Valves exports motorized PIBC valves throughout India and the Middle East for commercial building HVAC projects. Our valves are compatible with all major BMS platforms including Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, and Tridium. Complete documentation includes actuator wiring diagrams, valve sizing calculations, and BMS integration support.
