How this simplified table works

Pressures are converted to bar g. Suggested minimum class uses conservative ceilings roughly aligned with common WCB practice: Class 150 up to about 17 bar at moderate temperature; Class 300 up to about 40 bar; Class 600 above that or when temperature exceeds about 400 C at elevated pressure. High temperature with moderate pressure still bumps class. Corrosive service flags stainless or specialty materials instead of WCB.
